Larry J. Solow PhD., Audiologist:
Since 1984, Dr. Larry Solow has been the proud owner of Valley Hearing Center. Dr. Solow is a respected Audiologist who obtained his Bachelor of Arts in communicative disorders from California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Dr. Solow went on to receive his Ph.D. in Audiology from Pacific Western University. Prior to founding Valley Hearing Center, Dr. Solow was an Assistant Professor at CSUN and co-star of the Emmy nominated NBC show, “Say It With Sign,” alongside his wife of 37 years, Sharon.
Megan Solow, H.I.S.:
Megan Solow Felthoven, a Hearing Instrument Specialist, has been part of the family business for almost 30 years and is excited to carry on the family tradition of excellence in hearing health care. Megan has been both a history and an American Sign Language (ASL) teacher, so communication has always been in her career description. She lives in Pacific Grove with her husband, who is also a Hearing Instrument Specialist, along with their daughters.
Jered has been a part of the family business for over a decade, since graduating with honors from UC Berkeley. Jered plays an integral role within the company as Director of Operations. He enjoys working at Valley Hearing Center and feels truly blessed to be able to enrich people’s lives by helping them to hear better on a daily basis.
Robert Felthoven, NBC-H.I.S.:
Robert Felthoven has been working with Valley Hearing Center for 12 years. He is a National Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist. He loves working with people and changing their lives by helping them hear and connect with their family and loved ones. Rob and his wife have three beautiful daughters and another on the way this summer. They also have a menagerie of 2 dogs, a cat and a rabbit that keep the kids busy.
Pam has been with Valley Hearing Center since 2014. She is our outreach coordinator and is part of the marketing team. Pam works with physicians and our community to educate people about the importance of hearing health for their overall wellbeing. She sets up workshops, visits to senior centers and does presentations about hearing health.
Aundrea has been a patient care coordinator at Valley Hearing Center since 2011. She enjoys seeing people’s lives change every day through their experiences at Valley Hearing Center and feels honored to be a part of every patient’s life. When not in the office, Aundrea loves spending time with her family, including her son and daughter.
Carlee Woolem works in the authorizations department and loves that her job helps patients get the help they need. She also helps to facilitate shipping and receiving logistics. In her free time, Carlee enjoys playing with her son and spending time with her friends and co-workers, which luckily interwine for her at Valley Hearing Center!
Rebecca is a Pacific Grove native who joined Valley Hearing Center in 2014 from a long career in Patient Care and Medical Office Administration. She is an expert in office management and is most appreciated for her patience and nurturing compassion. Rebecca lives in Pacific Grove with her three beautiful children and enjoys doing interior design projects in her spare time. Gladys joined Valley Hearing Center in July 2010. She is part of the Front Office Coordination team. She enjoys helping others and brings with her a caring and personal demeanor. Gladys is fluent in Spanish and English. She was raised on the Central Coast and enjoys spending time with her family.
Stacey has been in the hearing aid industry for more than a decade and currently manages the back office and billing at Valley Hearing Center. Stacey loves long drives down the California coast and spending time with her family when she’s not hard at work, helping to facilitate flawless patient care.
Heather has been working in the medical field for over five years now. Along with her experience working in the medical field she has helped change many patents lives and put smiles on their faces while doing it. She takes great pride in her work and is excited to be a part of the front office coordination team at Valley Hearing Center.
With a counseling background and over 10 years of experience as a caring Hearing Instrument Specialist, Leah Karraker is passionate about seeing lives transformed through better hearing. She is excited to be part of the Valley Hearing team and to continue to treat patients like family. Her husband and three little girls formerly lived in Oregon and love traveling and trying great food.
Bill has been involved with the hearing healthcare industry for many years and focuses his attentions on helping everyone realize the importance of keeping up with their hearing as they do with their annual checkups with their primary doctor and their eyes with an optometrist. He has two daughters and 4 grandchildren and is very active in his community.
Amanda is an audiology extern finishing her last year as a doctoral student at the University of the Pacific. Her interest in audiology stems from growing up with a sister who was born with a severe hearing loss.
She is passionate about assisting patients with hearing challenges and eager to learn something new each day at Valley Hearing Center. Outside of work, Amanda follows the activities of the U.S. Deaf National Women’s Soccer Team and is an avid Sharks hockey fan. She enjoys traveling and training her Siberian husky.
